Our activity is financed through donations from individuals, companies, and other organizations. These funds are used to purchase materials and cover basic operating costs. Our core team works pro bono. A donation of 5,000,000 pesos (~ USD 1.315) funds 8 hours of workshop activity, during which, with 16 volunteers, we can manufacture between 14 and 18 pieces of furniture. The invitation to donors with the greatest capacity is to finance packages of 4, 8, or 12 workshops. We also welcome smaller contributions.

When the donor does not have a particular community they want to benefit, the activity is carried out in the main workshop, and Llenando Espacios chooses the beneficiary families or spaces. Ideally, the donor brings a group of volunteers who work with the guidance of an instructor, but we can also call on volunteer labor. When the donor wants to take the activity to their own space or that of their chosen beneficiaries, we can take our workshop to the facilities of their choice.

Our workshop activities entail the following steps:
1.    The beneficiary population and its needs are identified.
2.    The furniture to be manufactured and the beneficiary population are chosen. At this stage, bespoke designs are produced when required.
3.    Workday, with break time for light lunch and snacks. Members of the beneficiary community are invited to work with the volunteers.
4.    The furniture is delivered to the beneficiaries (on the same day as the workshop or the following week).
